Overview
The Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University (Truro Campus) offers a MSc in Agriculture and a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, in a broad range of specialties. The MSc program is thesis-based and designed to provide a foundation for subsequent studies at the doctoral level, and for professional careers in research and development, teaching, industry, and extension. The PhD program allows students to pursue advanced-level knowledge in agriculture and develop expert skills in their discipline of focus, while producing original, high-quality thesis-based research that will impact audiences ranging from international scholars to local farmers. Doctoral students will become independent, competent, critical thinkers who will be ready for a wide range of career options in academia, private industry, and government. Scholarships and other forms of financial support for students are available.
